Child Safety Standards

NEXi is a live voice chat application operated by Kivi Prog Pvt Ltd. These are our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to everyone who uses NEXi, everywhere it is available.

NEXi has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. There is no warning, no strike system and no second chance for it. Accounts are terminated, content is removed and preserved, and the matter is reported to the relevant authorities.

NEXi is an adults-only service

NEXi is intended for people aged 18 and over. Our Terms of Service require it, we collect a date of birth at sign-up, and the app is distributed with an 18+ target audience and with restrictions on accounts that app stores identify as belonging to minors.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete the associated data.

What is prohibited

The following are banned outright and are grounds for immediate, permanent termination:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — images, video, audio, text or links.
Sexualising a minor, including in voice, chat, profile content, room names or usernames.
Grooming: building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes.
Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate material of a minor.
Trafficking, soliciting or advertising a minor for sexual purposes.
Directing a minor to use the service, or helping one evade our age requirement.
Off-platform arrangements made through NEXi for any of the above.

Reporting inside the app

Every user can report another user, a room, a message or a profile from inside NEXi. Reports about child safety are treated as the highest priority and are reviewed ahead of the ordinary queue.

Open the profile, room or message in question.
Choose Report.
Select the reason and add anything that will help us act.

Users can also block anyone immediately, which ends contact without waiting for us. Room owners and moderators can mute and remove participants from their rooms.

How we respond

Remove the content and end any live session carrying it.
Terminate the account permanently, and act on related accounts we identify.
Preserve the relevant records and evidence for law enforcement rather than deleting them.
Report to the appropriate national and regional authorities.
Cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

Reporting to authorities

Kivi Prog Pvt Ltd is established in India. We report child sexual abuse material and related offences to the appropriate Indian authorities, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where the matter falls within its remit. Where an incident involves another jurisdiction, we report to that country's designated authority as well.

We comply with child safety laws in every market where NEXi is available, and we respond to lawful requests for information from law enforcement.

Prevention

An 18+ age requirement, collected at sign-up and stated in our Terms.
In-app reporting and blocking available to every user, on every surface where people interact.
Human review of reports, with child safety escalated above all other categories.
Moderation powers for room owners, and platform-level suspension and banning.
Retention of records needed to support an investigation.
